This is a funny article, because it's written like the original room was really darn good "before", like it was 90% done and just needed 10% finishing touches. When actually it wasn't decorated at all before, and a ton of things were changed to make it look so much better. Wall coverings, paint, flooring, bed, bedding, chairs, end tables, lighting, accessories. These changes weren't 10%. Basically everything was changed except the structure.

I really like what they did, although I think it needs art above the headboard. I just think the article is misrepresenting what was changed. I'm seeing this a lot in Houzz articles lately, like they are trying to build a story around a before/after that really isn't there. This would have been better as 2 stories. One a before/after focusing on what makes the design work and the other how to find the 10% your space i missing once you think you are done.

With the amount of space available, I'd add a very small kitchen - a counter, cabinet, single sink, small refrigerator, toaster or toaster oven and a microwave. Then you really could get away from it all while still being at home.
