These are really nice photos of Arts & Crafts style interiors. I do not understand the need to paint beautiful woodwork white. I personally am not a fan of painting wood trim white, especially if the wood trim is in good condition. Almost all of the newer houses, condos and apartments have that cheap looking MDF white baseboard trim. I really love to see older homes with the original stained wood trim intact.

I am contemplating painting the wood white in my home just because I find it too dark in the hallways.
