In your experience, does carex brevior flatten out while in seed (like sprengelii) or does it tend to stay upright?

msept -- In more sun upright. In more shade it may splay out some.

Mine is not in shade and is splaying out like crazy. It is ruining the aesthetic of my native bed in west central Minnesota. Granted, it has been a very wet spring and summer. I am about ready to just hack off the seed heads. Help please!
