Copper Penny Foyer
Copper Penny Floor Foyer Project done by me! I had an idea in mind to make a copper penny foyer with various pennies. As I began work, I separated dark from newer pennies and began a mosaic pattern. This project took me approximately 3 weeks to complete from start to finish as the gluing and line symmetry was the hardest and most arduous task. I then grouted the pennies, sealed with several polyurethane coats to protect the finish, and viola! It’s gorgeous, durable! If did this again, I would recommend removing any floor work underneath and installing basic subfloor panels to glue the pennies on, make sure you scratch the surface up (the subfloor, not the pennies) so the glue and grout will stick, and perhaps either a poly coat or an epoxy coat to seal it in well. Make sure you allow each stage to dry thoroughly before beginning the next phase!
