I began my blog while searching for that one PERFECT pale gray color for my living room walls. I've gone through many cans of paint, combed lots of paint fan decks, and looked at lots of designer rooms since then. Horizon (OC-53) Benjamin Moore
My very favorite right now! A beautiful light gray with just a hint of blue. I have just painted my new master bath Horizon and after going through several other grays, I'm one happy girl.
Graytint 1611 by Benjamin Moore
Here's a nice medium gray.
Magnetic Gray (SW 7058) Sherwin Williams
With perhaps a hint of green, this one makes for a great "hard to define" gray.
Down Pipe (#26) from Farrow and Ball
Here's a rich, darker gray that would be perfect for a cozy den or moody bedroom.
Intense White OC-51 by Benjamin Moore
This one's from the "Off-white" colors of Benjamin Moore. So very light and airy with just a hint of gray.
Moon Shine (OC 56) Benjamin Moore
Another from the "Off-white" colors of Benjamin Moore. These light "OC" colors tend to be my favorites.
Silver Lake 1598 Paint
Grays with blue undertones tend to be my favorite. This one is particularly beautiful.
Smoke Embers (#1466) Benjamin Moore
Emily Henderson of HGTV's Secrets From a Stylist used Benjamin Moore's Smoke Embers in her re-do of Ian Brennan's living room.
Chelsea Gray (HC 168) Benjamin Moore
This paint color is from the Historical Colors of Benjamin Moore. It's a strong gray leaning towards taupe.
Fieldstone (#1558) Benjamin Moore
This is the color that Texas designer Sally Wheat painted her now famous kitchen cabinets, starting a huge gray trend.
Pavilion Gray No. 242
Farrow and Ball refers to this gray as an "elegant color used in Sweden in the late 18th century under Gustav III."
Silver Pointe (#7653) Sherwin Williams
This is a nice light silver from the 'Concepts in Color' line from Sherwin Williams.
Gray Owl OC-52 by Benjamin Moore
From the "Off Whites" collection of Benjamin Moore. This is another very favorite of mine — a lovely gray with just a hint of green.
Repose Gray (#7015) Sherwin Williams
I'd use this gray tone to achieve that French look on furniture or cabinetry.
Gray Clouds (#7658) Sherwin Williams
This color from the Sherwin Williams 'Concepts in Color' line doesn't lean too blue or green.
Silverplate (#7649) Sherwin Williams
A little darker than my other picks, this one is great for a more moody gray look.
First Star (#7646) Sherwin Williams
This color from the SW "Concepts in Color" line is an airy, barely there type of gray.
Classic French Gray (#0077) Sherwin Williams
A good medium gray tone. I've used this one to paint furniture pieces with great results.
Amazing Gray (#7044) Sherwin Williams
This tone is a beautiful gray with lots of green and beige.
Pale Smoke (#1584) Benjamin Moore
A lovely and light blue-gray. Nate Berkus used this color in Katie Lee Joel's NYC townhouse.

Try Ben's Stonington Gray. Has more of a green undertone than blue. Also they have two Owl Grays--OC 52 which runs blue and (I forget the number) which runs green. Ask them. They have both.
No one has me
I have an amethyst purple and celery greenish walls. I would like to add a gray wall. What type of gray would partner well with these colors? Currently the wall I want to paint over if a yellow gold tone. Thank you for any suggestions!
