barbav - Well, I like just about any color that has life to it. This can mean that it has a luminous quality, that it changes as the light changes, that the underlying material comes thru in some way, etc. A color that just doesn't sit on the surface but draws you in is the trick. Does anyone know what the exact colors are of these paint samples? I desperately need a good brown for my Northwoods home.

We bought this little house in the Bienville National Forest in Mississippi a few years ago as a vacation home when we visited family & friends. One of our first renovations (right after new windows and central HVAC) was a much needed brown paint job and new cedar front porch. We’re still working on the rennovations.. a new bathroom going in this fall, and next year, a complete kitchen renovation... but painting this little house a rustic brown. Perfect!
