Creating a new kitchen into a historic framework is always a challenge... I adore the subtle yet oh so successful way elements have been layered to create a historically sympathetic space. Notice the repetition of woodenware dotting the counters, the bench seat left quite natural to marry well with the beams and my favourite touch is the curved sides on the breadboard... that echo of the crown detail on cabinets bringing just a hint of feminine whimsy!!
