Kitchen
We bought (2014) this custom home in the Castle Heights area of Waco, TX. It was built in 1975 and not much was done after that. We have been going from room to room renovating and finally got to the kitchen. We keep most everything in the same place, no wall removal, or any major demo. I do most of the grunt work, but leave the floors and countertops to the pros. This was my second and LAST kitchen diy. Kraftmaid cabinets, Kitchenaid appliances, Kohler fixtures. I keep it as simple, sturdy, and long lasting as possible. I always upgrade the cabinets with the top hinges and features, drawer pullouts, lazy susan, blind corner cabinet, etc. It was a challenge, stressful at times. Especially cutting the new sink cabinet for the Kohler apron sink, but I did it with no screw ups…Well, the very last installment, the faucet, I had to turn it just a little to make it fit with the granite backsplash we used.
