Edenchild, I suggest you look on Donald Pell's website. While in a different climate, you may be inspired none the less by his native designs.

Living in Philly, examples of native gardens are plentiful. Mt Cuba is a treasure. Nice to see two pics, one of earlier season and then later on. Great post.

I have enjoyed reading all your articles about gardening, even more so as we are about to move into a property with a one-half acre field surrounded by mature deciduous trees. My plan for the new septic field sown with grass is to turn it into a meadow of native plants for birds, bees, and butterflies in Delaware.
