Beautiful gardens and fun ideas. One thing I didn't see was a vineyard garden. One client of mine decided to rip out their unused and water-intensive lawn at their side yard. It ended up being the perfect place for a small vineyard, which was appropriate for them, since they already love wine and had recently installed a wine cave under their stairs. We replaced a solid wood privacy fence and gate with a decorative metal gate between stone columns on one end, and added a seating area with gas fire pit on the other end. A home vineyard service recommended the most appropriate grape varietals and soil amendments, they planted the grapes, they maintain and train the vines, and they harvest and take away the grapes for you. You direct the wine-making and get to reap (drink) the rewards of your "labor."

We have a narrow driveway to a one car garage. We have native plantings as you come up the drive and a small shade garden near the garage. The barn door hides the garbage cans.

Nice native garden JulieD. And the natural and beautiful shade garden in #12 is a welcome change. I 'm not sure about the super sculpted super clean styles... does anyone find that to be inviting?
