Annie, thanks for the article, but could you write another one with really, really Southern States, we live in Houston, Texas and plants and flowers thrive since we have a close to jungle weather, hot and humid. I some how get jealous of the Northern Stated beautiful gardens that can actually be lived during the summer with nice temperatures, during the summers (high 90's) we look at our beautiful yards from the window with the A/C on. BTW I do not envy the cold winters of the North, we can see green backyards with flowers 365 days a year.
