In the kitchen, many homeowners wonder if all the cabinets and trim should be the same color. The answer is no, especially if you want to accentuate a certain feature. In this photo, dark stained trim allows these terrific windows to pop. White trim would have only forced them into the background.

PRO/ Egon Walesch Interiors: pendant lights are the 4/3 designed by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen. These are vintage lights that I sourced in Denmark / still produced today, but I believe only in white. It's possible to pick up second hand examples on eBay and other auction sites.

A classic "sanitary" Streamline porcelain wall bracket popular in kitchens/baths from 1920s well into the 1950s, the knob on the Adrian's arm acts as its on/off switch. The Streamline Opal Slip Shade series, with 4 colored stripe options, are the only shades which fit this fixture.
