Surprising color
Part of the pleasure of color is finding it when least expected, a surprise that can lift our spirits and bring joy to a humdrum setting. After the surprise, color is especially satisfying when it feels fresh and appropriate. Get beyond the fads and "This Year's Palette." Look to context for cues. Color can support a desired mood, reinforce a sense of place, bring clarity to architectural form, or counter a dreary climate. It has great potential to transform your home.
