We don't know anybody with a laundry room. A closet, maybe.
Danette Dieffenbach. Your laundry room is so pretty. I love that you could fit a desk and closet and drawers on the wall opposite the washer and dryer.
That’s a great use of a narrow space. I feel more confident in the decision we made in our laundry location, size and multipurpose function. Thank you for your photo and comments!
I too wonder about the lack of racks to hang clothes. Also I have a much older house with few and small closets. I keep a lot of open steel rack shelving in my very large basement to store folded linens. A dehumidifier runs 24 ours so nothing gets musty. And I have hanging racks and 2 large folding tables. I use front loaders. I never have a mildew problem. Maybe if you don't use it frequently this happens ? There is a utility sink which is handy for really dirty things-I garden and things get muddy. These elegant laundry rooms pictured are lovely but not utilitarian enough . Also for those who think the hook ups should be better hidden. It is so much better if you can get to things when they malfunction. This includes the outlets. Because the newer washers and dryers are computers. Sometimes they confuse themselves and the only way to get a reset is to unplug it .
