Simon Family Makeover
This makeover consists of the entry-way, living room, and dining room of the Simon family. Kim Simon is a breast cancer survivor and teacher in New Orleans, LA. The family needs a cohesive entry way and living room. The front entry is for guests but should be welcoming and functional for the family too. A gallery wall is a potential design option for the wall in the entry space. A slim console table and wall hooks could also work well in the area. The living room design should include a rug, space-saving storage solutions that allow playtime for kids and plenty of room for guests too. The dining room should allow seating for up to 6 and potential stylish storage for toys and other family essentials. All three spaces should be cohesive, bright, with some pops of color.
Storage for toys
Storage in bookcase. The could double as a place entertaining with food and drinks
Antique buffet can double as storage for toys and entertaining. Adds a ton of character.
Runner, console table, oversized art. Nice combo of pieces and is simple if the foyer doesn't need to be functional.
Gallery wall for entry-area. The lighting at the top adds an extra element but is not required. The shiplap on the walls takes this gallery wall up a notch. The frames are oversized and give the wall a clean look.
