The house and furnishings are quite lovely but I'm having a hard time with the description of the style of the house, i.e. cape cod as well as the furnishings - like the living room being a mix of "modern farmhouse, modern organic and California cool" To me, the living room is 'designer luxe' with the gold tables and gold framed mirror. In the 'other spaces' the lovely iron handrail looks very art deco to me. Overall, I'd call this house and it's furnishings "Unique".

Overall nice design and it's obvious that a lot of money went into this house (floor material , fixtures etc...) but so much white and grey just doesn't do it for me. I understand that this style (talking about inside, not the outside design) is appealing to most people, so it's kind of what you do when the client doesn't really have strong wishes or ideas of his own ??? As someone else put it in his comment, the most appropriate word to qualify this style for me would probably be "neutral".

I have lived my entire life on the Cape. Except for a beaded board ceiling, and what looks like white cedar exterior shingles, I see nothing that comes close to Cape Cod..

The Cape’s blue water sailors, who, if lucky to return home, would bring something from the Orient…usually blue and white. I see neutral…no hooked rugs, oil paintings, both of which can be incorporated into a contemporary design.

That said, house is lovely; interior design perfect (except for the rug, Moroccan), under dining table which is too small.
