I'm with thorigol. My workshop is in my garage. All my tools except a few that are permanently housed in the barn live here. This is about the cleanest it gets. It includes 2 full tool boxes and a roll about for electric tools. Chainsaw lives underneath the shelves. The smaller bench on the side houses some yard stuff and stacks for paper/cardboard recycles. The shelves are all sections. I did remove everything from the top shelf after hubby died as I couldn't reach it easily. Cans include all sorts of nuts, bolts, nails and heavy screws. Smaller house stuff is located in the screw cabinet with tons of tiny little drawers for everything from washers to S hooks to small & medium wood/metal screws. To the right houses all the small garden/plant stuff. Paints/stains are underneath the drawers. The white gallon jug is for old nails/screws. When full it goes down to the recycle metal place.

Yup, heavily used to repair anything and everything inside and somewhere else on the ranch. All the benches were made by me and my late hubby. I did the tool hangup behind all the trash cans which are really recycled bins of various sorts. There is a place for everything which makes it easy to find what one needs for repairs.

When you live rural - about 18 miles from the nearest town, you tend to have your own hardware "store" because you can't afford to take a half day to run into town to buy a 7/16th metal screw you need to fix something. Plenty of light to work in the evening as necessary.
