My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

The laws here must be much more restrictive than other states. No way are we allowed to meet face to face until closing. We got into our second home on the pretext of an inspection. It was only 6yrs old, DH being a facilities engineer figured he and a buddy could poke around and know what's what. I got to take some measurements for curtains etc. No homeowners present. No homeowners present at any of the six walk throughs we've been involved with. Especially in the markets we've lived through even getting a second look is rare. It's a big purchase for how little you really get to check it out!!!
