I have used Jeff on a number of my builds. You will always get the truth no matter the situation. You will also get an experienced, quality focused company. You will want to book him early, because he tends to book up quickly.

We had already hired a designer to design our dream kitchen and we were looking for a reliable and capable contractor to actually build it. A friend suggested we contact Jeff Hayes. Jeff came out to meet us one evening and submitted a detailed, itemized quote later that night. Some adjustments were required over the next couple of weeks (we hadn't quite decided on the kitchen flooring or the backsplash...), but these updates were also timely and detailed, and Jeff even provided different options and considerations during the decision-making. This was our biggest renovation to date. We didn't make any structural changes to the footprint of the kitchen, but we changed everything else... We replaced all of the cabinets (and doubled them), counters, backsplash, etc. We upgraded to a 36-inch gas stove and hood fan, and had a much bigger sink installed. We chose a quartz countertop on one side and stainless steel on the other. We also had a custom pantry built. We are really pleased with the work that Jeff and his team put in. Everyone was professional, the timing was pretty accurate, and the final product is awesome. Even though this summer was apparently Jeff's busiest one to date, he was always still available to answer questions or provide updates. I never felt like the other projects were competing with my own. Absolutely nothing seems to faze Jeff, and he was always professional and pleasant to deal with. He even created some tasks for our 4-year-old, who was desperate to help out... We are THRILLED with the end result -- we LOVE our new kitchen (you can see pics under "avenue o"). And the final cost was exactly as quoted. We would definitely work with Jeff Hayes again, and we are happy to refer him to others.

We hired Jeff Hayes Contracting to finish approximately 800 sq ft of space in our basement including a bathroom and recreation area. Jeff was very helpful and accommodating of all our requests and changes along the way. He responded quickly to all of our email messages and always got answers to our questions as quickly as possible. The work was well executed and despite some delays beyond his control, he managed to complete the project on time. Jeff and his crew were very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with the work and all the sub-contractors that Jeff brought in to work on the project and we are loving our finished space.

I had Jeff renovate my basement last year. He was great guy to work with. He kept me informed at every stage of project and always answer call promptly. His team was efficient, friendly and professional. I'm very happy with the result - finished basement with vast of storage space.

We hired Jeff Hayes Contracting to do our basement renovation. We are so happy that we did. We love the results. Before, the area was very dark, dank and used mostly just to house our furnace, washer and dryer and to store a bunch of stuff we never used. Now however, the area is bright and very usable. We specifically wanted a storage room a family room and a craft room along with laundry/furnace area, finishing a powder room, new stair railing and beautifully recapped stairs. We got everything we asked for and more. All of the little details really make a difference. Jeff was so accommodating with everything. he was so good about discussing the progress of work and any problems with us. Jeff is very reliable and knowledgeable about all aspects of the work we had preformed. We are really really happy with the final outcome. Jeff and his crew renovated my basement to accommodate an in-law suite for my mother. When I first started researching contractors for quotes it was Jeff himself that came to do the estimate. From the moment we started talking I knew he'd be the one to renovate my basement. He had a smile on his face and was incredibly friendly and wasn't afraid to give some ideas for layout. He takes pride in his work and is very approachable and knowledgeable. Jeff was hands-on throughout the project and his crew was very respectful of my property. My only mistake is I didn't have Jeff do all the finishes, so my suggestion to you if you do decide to hire Jeff is to have him do ALL the work. He will take full accountability if any issues arise and make it right. I can truly say that for any future renovations I will hire Jeff.

Jeff Hayes contracting renovated the entire upper floor of our home in Sandy Hill (including two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry room). Jeff completely transformed the space! He was involved in every step of the design, construction and finishing and can be trusted with managing all aspects of the renovation process. His team is hard-working and reliable and produced very high quality work. Any obstacles were handled efficiently and professionally. The end result was both modern and elegant - The master bathroom is stunning!

We renovated the family home last summer. This involved three bathrooms, a kitchen and changes to the hall and master bedroom. We were looking for a hands-on person who would both oversee and do the job. Jeff fit this bill. He did the job professionally and didn't nickel and dime us for extras. He charged a reasonable price and did a good job. He and his crew were upbeat and fun to be with. I do not hesitate to recommend him..

Jeff supervised our very large kitchen / family room renovation, and was responsible for its complete success, on-time and within budget. His knowledge of all aspects of house construction and attention to detail impressed us greatly. We have since had him back to refurbish our garage. His practical suggestions simplified the original design, saved costs, and resulted in a sturdy, well-laid out and more spacious garage. Jeff is my "go to" contractor. He is conscientious, charming and ethical. He completes his very hands on projects on time and on budget with a great crew. The workmanship is fabulous. I have hired him for two separate projects. A year ago I purchased a new home and had only two weeks to have changes made before occupancy. I hired Jeff Hayes Contracting to install a new sub-floor to eliminate a sunken living room, install new hardwood and baseboards throughout the main floor, prepare for a new fireplace and paint the entire house - main floor and finished basement. The completed job was amazing and timing perfect. This fall I hired Jeff Hayes Contracting to remove a skylight. Jeff took care of both the outside (framing and shingles) and inside (significant ceiling work, painting and new, creative lighting).
