Serenity Bathrooms

When designing your bathroom, the very first consideration has to be, how will everything drain, getting waste pipe work concealed and connected to the waste stack is always our first priority, this can be challenging and sometimes expensive.

My new extension has included a small bathroom - just a 1400 pool bath to save space in the main room. I wanted WOW so have included an ex-display bathstore vanity unit that incorporates loo & basin and has wall units to match, but my main splay-out feature was for PATCHWORK TILES! They were cheap as chips from 'tonsoftiles' in Plymouth and I actually had these delivered by mistake (my mistake, through rushing through the order in a state of excitement)! However, when they arrived I was completely WOW'd by the Kasbah tiles that measure 45 cm sq. I used dark grey grout and married them with plain silk tiles set lengthways and a stone mosaic border. The room has 2.8 m ceiling height so I've used F&B Pavillion Grey on the walls with a brilliant white ceiling. My new bathroom is everything I'd hoped it would be - super stylish & cosy.

Excuse the wires for the shower, shower screen & flooring have

yet to be fitted!

The Stone Federation of Great Britain has just released a booklet on natural stone installation in wet rooms, steam rooms and shower enclosures and I would suggest it is essential reading for anyone designing a bathroom. Even the pros can learn from this. The same principles apply whether you use real stone or man made tiles. Details of the booklet are here: https://t.co/jE8Jdmiv4r and further info on our blog: Amarestone
