10 Fabulous Faucets to Make Your Home More Fascinating
Many of the changes that I enjoy making to the design of my home are big, bold changes. I like adding bright new colors and patterns to the house. I like statement pieces and space-altering furniture layouts. However, I do have a great appreciation for the people out there who are able to focus on the little details to make a home more unique and interesting.
It is the little details that really say something about who you are and what you like. That's because to change the little details requires that you make a serious decision about what appeals to you. It's not hard to get a unique couch and then change it out if you don't like it. It takes a lot more conscious effort to think about changing an every day item - like a sink faucet - into something that really reflects who you are.
What type of faucet is right for what you like in home design? Do you want a cutting-edge smart faucet that serves as a computer and water-dispenser all in one? Or would you love to find the oldest vintage faucets around and install them in your own bathroom? There are a lot of options and they can make or break the look and feel of your home.

I love everything about this faucet. First of all, it's a "smart faucet". You can program it with your favorite water temperature and it will recognize your face and automatically turn on to that temperature. And you can use it to check email and the outdoor weather temperature. But I have to say that I also love the sleek modern design and pink glowing light. From a design perspective, this faucet is definitely a detail that's different from most other bathrooms.
There is something appealing to the eye about curves and you get that in bulk here with this great shower faucet. The silver color makes it easy on the eyes and yet it's got a lot of great little details that make you want to look more closely at this bathroom.
This is a much simpler example of a great faucet. However, it also shows off some slight curves that make it more aesthetically interesting than a normal boring bathroom faucet.
This modern faucet is subtly different from other faucets because of the fact that it is set into the glass mirror in the room. It's a small detail that makes a big difference in the look of the home.
What's great about this faucet is something subtle: the off-center placement of it. Most sink faucets are centered so just moving it slightly creates an entirely different look. This is especially true with the prominent symmetrical design of the sink here but would work with normal sink shapes as well.
These faucets are in direct contrast to the highly-curved faucets that tend to capture my attention most. They're straight-edged and blunt. And their forceful water flow mirrors the shape of the handle and pipes. I'm not sure I like it personally but it definitely earns my respect as a different type of faucet design.
It is not uncommon to see hot and cold handles today but it is a lot less common to see two separate faucets for the one sink or tub. It's an interesting symmetrical option that may or may not be functional but definitely looks fascinating.
The brassy gold tone of the curved tub faucet here is interesting. What makes it really interesting, though, is the way that both color and shape are mimicked in the statuettes that grace the window ledge. Think of this small detail when decorating your own bathroom.
