colorific

As a professional color consultant (colorific – see photo 9) – I want all my clients to be "in love" with every room, or exterior once painted.

So there is just NO way that there is one right answer to the question "what color should this be?" – we would never have that expectation for fashion or cars, or anything else, right?! :-)

If you love grey, go for it! And if you don't, well of course don't use it, regardless of what anyone says are the "current trends". In fact, I regularly advise folks to ignore the trends that don't feel like a good fit for them.

I help my clients uncover what speaks to them – and no two clients are alike. I've even helped out interior designers that are stuck because it's their home and they know all the available colors and trends – and it can be overwhelming to pick a direction.

At the end of the day, everyone has a gut feeling about what feels right – so go with your gut – it's never wrong! :-)

It's a Beautiful World!

Very useful article for all of us who love to decorate and also for those who just love discussing colors and color choices :-). I especially agree with the reason #3 for hiring a color consultant. Of course, if you are starting with more than one piece of art or furnishing you love and want to see them all in your space, and the colors in those pieces do not seem to work well together, figuring out the color scheme can become even trickier and professional help may become even more crucial...
