Mr. Edwards
Thank you for writing this article and sharing in houzz. Not the subject you'd think about reading here but this definitely hits home for a lot of folks, including myself.

Our youngest son died unexpectedly on February 3, 2014. Halloween and Christmas were his two favorite holidays. Grief evolves over time as you noted. Like you we have found ways to live with the magnified grief during the holidays and his transition anniversary. Last Christmas we collected coats to donate to a local family homeless shelter. We bought a coat for each stage of our sons short life, 32 years. Thank you so much for talking about grief. For too many Americans they have to keep their pain hidden because it's such a social taboo to grieve openly.

@blueinspiration --I am so sorry for your loss, and that you are facing a difficult week this week, and will soon walk thru another bittersweet Christmas holiday season. What a beautiful way you honored your son's memory, by giving to make so many others lives better. I will pray for you this week, and during Christmas, that you and your family will have peace and comfort. Thank you for the reminder that I can reach out to bless others, even in the middle of my own grief. Blessing, Beth
