I personally would start by painting the ceiling mat white, but if not I would do the walls in olive green, maybe one darker wall (not too dark) and three a lighter shade olive.

I would lighten the colour on your walls. Your ceiling is relatively dark wood so absorbs light. Your floor is a nice light would so reflects light. I’d Matt paint your walls a light neutral colour, the room will then be light and airy in summer but in winter the ceiling will give the room a cosy look. Lose the red or any dark colours, they make a room look smaller than it is and absorb light making it dark.

All these colours work , but to add to those I think blues and pinks look good . Esp a plaster pink , and powder and bright ultramarine blue . Not together , but on their own with natural wood tones , the combination can be quite gorgeous . .
