How to proceed is my concern: I have an accumulation of free hardscaping, landscaping and house materials collected over years and waiting to be used, bricks, pavers, timbers for rustic benches, redwood furniture to be refinished to just name a few. I have the vision in my mind for every single element and am now retired and ready to dive in and I must do all the work myself...but have to fend off distractions that seem bent on me failing... I know many elements have to be done in a particular order, i.e, create the patios with the pavers before refinishing the furniture, so there is a place to put it. How do I battle the many distractions of life? Kind of a rhetorical question, but maybe someone has been there and has feedback on how they succeeded in keeping the demons at bay.

Another thought I had is that if I had - if most of us had - homes as depicted in the above photos, we'd have enough room and there wouldn't be any clutter...maybe. I love my 787 sq foot 100 year old Craftsman bungalow and detached garage on a 50 x 100 ft lot, but there's only so much one can do. It's a daily endeavor moving stuff from one place to another to complete each stage of my vision. Gradually areas open up as things progress, but it's a battle.

Really good ideas presented. I suffer from the lack of decision and the paper tiger trail. Never ending bills and a good way to address until the time to deal with. Yes, the big scoop up when the holidays and dinner parties. I have found mail tucked in the most odd places later. Just never enough time or energy to address. I’ve been setting the timer or listen to a pod cast, it makes me feel like I accomplished something and am less sentimental and able to toss more! Thank you
