Look up "Vinyl siding - off gassing" Yow! We had to change rooms in a hotel once becasue the fumes from the wall covering were so bad. When plastics are heated - even via sun - they off gas. And yes, smoke from wood is one thing, from plastic is another. Could you imagine being a firefighter and having to go in under dripping plastic/vinyl siding on fire? At least use metal siding which will more likely be recycled when replaced. We need to move away from petroleum products in general. Easier to wear cushioned footwear than have resilient flooring but I do use carpet runners at heavy use spaces like in front of the sink in the kitchen.

Doc, I cared for these men and women. They use air tanks but they run out or give the air to victims. Cork is natural resilient flooring. We need to be aware of our choices.

They wouldn't last long if they didn't have fresh air the smoke is so toxic. I am a fan of cork and have used it for backsplashes and table tops as well - even commercially.
