Our retaining wall is over 2m high, and although I love these styles they are not very practical for any retaining wall that is doing more than just hold up planter boxes or garden edges. Very pretty however :)

I am considering both stuccoed cinder block, capped with stone, and poured concrete for a 30' long slightly curved embankment in need of a retaining wall. The height varies from a couple of feet to maybe four feet high. What would be my best bet?

Serious retaining walls call for engineering know how and where I live the local sandstone is the best material. All stone was carried down dreadful old steps by hand, impressive workmanship.
