Where are the refrigerators? I guess if I got rid of my fridge I could fit more in my small kitchen.

We incorporated several of the ideas in this article in the 2016/2017 renovation of my small, U-shaped city kitchen. We added functionality, light, storage, and joy!

And, before taken from the approximate location of the second photo.

Judy, I assumed many of the photos were taken from the refrigerator, but some are built in. I love the reader Lomourredi's kitchen maybe best of all! #2 is lovely, but I would have put one shelf across that far wall to free up the counter. Still would have been wall space for artwork, but I do wonder if there is ample storage. Whoever lives with #7 must be nearly 7' tall. Attempts to access to those side shelves or cookbooks over the door without a step ladder would be very frustrating. What I don't see in many of the kitchens are toasters and or toaster ovens. I have thought long & hard about a built-in microwave over the stove, but that would mean losing a much needed cabinet. Small kitchens are mind benders!
