1. Dark Elements

Bathrooms traditionally feature many white elements in toilets, sinks and tubs. But dark elements are on the rise, as evident in many of the new moody finishes featured at KBIS.

Native Trails debuted its new Arcata trough-style sink in 10 earth-inspired finishes, including Slate, shown here. The sink is made of concrete blended with natural jute fiber for a durable surface that’s resistant to stains, scratches and cracks.

Blanco launched the compact Alta II kitchen faucet collection, intended for small spaces. It comes in the sleek new satin dark steel finish shown here.

Ruvati’s new Italian-made Canali bathtub and sink collection comes in this bold satin black finish. The durable sinks are made from 70% organic crushed stone and minerals.

As part of a new marketing campaign, Kohler showcased its honed black Veil smart toilet, which debuted last year, alongside a black dress by fashion designer Laura Kim.

Riobel’s new Fonsa kitchen sink comes in a moody black finish.

Elkay’s new composite granite Quartz Luxe workstation sinks come in a range of dark colors, such as Charcoal, Chestnut and Obsidian. A new ledge design locks the cutting board in place so it doesn’t slide during use.

2. Workstation Sinks

Speaking of workstation sinks, their popularity keeps growing. And so does the size of the sinks. We saw many extra-large designs, like Blanco’s new Inteos workstation sink, shown here in a 45-inch model. It’s also available in 30, 33 and 39 inches. The accessories, which include oven-safe metal trays, fit any size model.

Also cool is this new undersink pullout organizer bag for Blanco’s Inteos accessories.

Not to be outdone, Elkay launched this whopping 59½-inch-wide workstation sink called the Circuit Chef. It comes with four cutting boards that can completely cover the sink, creating a continuous, substantial work surface. A two-tier design lets users layer accessories like stainless steel colanders and drying racks. It’s great for two people who like to cook together, and it would make a great island setup that faces family or friends.

Kohler launched the spacious Billings Neoroc workstation sink, shown here, which has a deep bowl with a right rear drain placement that increases workspace within the sink and maximizes storage underneath. It also includes the usual accessories like a cutting board, a drainboard, a colander and drying rack, a soaking bin with drain and a stainless steel bottom rack. The Neoroc is available in three sizes and several matte finishes, including white, taupe, gray, graphite, brown and black.

OK, not all workstation sinks are growing in size. Some are shrinking to deliver high function in limited space. Ruvati launched the new Alto laundry workstation sink shown here. The 12-inch-deep sink features an angled wood washboard for hand-scrubbing soiled items, as well as a drying rack that can hold 80 pounds, doubling as a spot to place a soaking tub or bucket full of water. There are also 40 accessories to consider. The Alto comes in 21-, 23-, 25- and 27-inch sizes.

Ruvati also announced a small bathroom workstation sink intended for tiny homes and RVs. The company launched an outdoor workstation sink last year.

3. Sleek Pro-Style Faucets

Pro-style or spring faucets have been steadily rising in popularity in recent years. Lately, the looks have been departing from strict industrial style and sporting a sleeker, cleaner look. Brizo added the Articulating faucet to its Odin kitchen collection. The faucet comes in seven finishes, including polished gold, shown here, and will be available in summer 2025.

Blanco redesigned its Blancoculina II collection, which includes the pro-style faucet shown here in satin gold. The faucet features a satisfying magnetic docking hand sprayer. It also comes in a moody satin dark steel.

4. Sleek Bridge Faucets

Meanwhile, sleekness seems to be hitting traditional designs as well. Several new bridge faucets debuted with cleaner lines than the classic style is known for.

Kohler’s new Billet kitchen bridge faucet shown here is a good example with its refined vintage-industrial look.

Kallista’s Aileron collection takes inspiration from airplane wing details and includes this bridge-style tub filler.

5. Mixed Finishes

One of the most prevalent trends on display at KBIS was the seemingly endless ability to mix finishes and materials. Brizo’s aforementioned Odin pro-style kitchen faucet comes in a finish that pairs matte black with a wooden handle.

Brizo’s new Frank Lloyd Wright bath collection expansion includes a new finish that combines luxe gold with teak details. Note how the water cascades from the side of the faucet, reminiscent of Wright’s famous Fallingwater house. It will be available in fall 2025.

Emtek’s new Rosso Levanto hardware collection features various marble handles and knobs that can be mixed and matched with various metal finishes. The rosettes can also be customized.

Kallista’s Art Deco-inspired Bezel collection pairs stone details with various metal finishes, including the new Blush Brass shown here.

Kast debuted its Orme pedestal sinks, shown here. You can mix and match color palettes and choose between smooth or ridged columns. The handcrafted sinks are available now.

6. Green Finishes

Green certainly is having a moment in kitchen and bath products. We’re seeing it show up in new kitchen appliances, as well as kitchen and bath faucets and fixtures. Native Trails launched its new Avalon 66 tub in four new shades, including this green called Forest.

Ruvati launched this surprising new emerald green fireclay apron-front workstation sink for its new Fiore collection. It pairs beautifully with warm wood cabinets and other details. It also comes in white, biscuit and glossy black.

Kohler introduced the Calpa vanity collection, shown here in emerald green. The exterior panels have a linear texture meant to evoke the look of reeded glass. The collection also comes in white, five sizes and several hardware finishes and includes a rectangular vitreous china sink in white and a precut marble-look quartz countertop.

Brizo debuted the British manor-inspired Beauclere bath collection, which includes the green Malachite knob details shown here. The collection also has multiple handle designs in a range of styles and six finishes. It’s available to order now.

7. Expanded Gold Finishes

Gold finishes are getting a glow-up. Kohler expanded its softly curved Bachata bathroom sink with two new brushed bronze finish options.

8. Organic Modern Design

As we previously reported, organic modern style is predicted to be big in 2025. Few displays at KBIS captured the trend quite like artist Daniel Arsham’s Landshapes bath collection for Kohler, which debuted last year. The collection draws inspiration from nature with organic forms and tones. It features a freestanding tub with hand-carved details, as well as a vessel sink, wood-framed mirrors, light fixtures and glass faucet handles and hardware.
