Don't forget the fan! Ventilation is key to bathroom design, and the humidity sensor fans do a better job of getting that damaging humidity out of the house.

After that, I would get a toto toilet with a spray. I prefer to have the toilet separated, if there is room, but not walled into a box. A pony wall with frosted glass above, or something like that.

My biggest peeve about bathrooms is safety. Plan for people with bad joints and bad vision. Incorporate pretty grab bars, because sooner or later, somebody will slip and grab whatever is there.

My biggest mistake is my old bathroom was a sharp granite corner right next to the toilet. A nurse will tell you people often feel faint getting off the pot, and this was perfectly positioned to crack your head open.

Hillcrest Glass

One more tip...make sure you talk to your glass people before you re-do your bath. There are so many things you can do to make the glass look better and keep the cost in check, but needs to be considered before construction begins.
