on't like showers with windows, frosted or other! Things I am considering in our bathroom reno (when we get enough time and money!) Heated towel rack, Tastic light (has heater, light and fan and can be used in combinations), a teeny shelf with power to rest a smartphone or ipod and listen to music, sitting shelf in the shower along with a niche for the shampoos etc, a large enough vanity where i can put my cuppa when I do my makeup without it falling off, a lit magnifying mirror for doing makeup, and a chute to let the wet towels and dirty clothes go off to the laundry downstairs!

Are soffits in the shower old style ? Does it look better for a shower without a soffit?

Soffits tend to reduce the openness of the more current designs.
