I just bought an 1888 Cape Cod. It has its own well and I, of course, am having trouble with it. But I'm interested in an exterior that will not only be aesthetic but hardy as this house is in Northern New York. Anyone for suggestions?

Just love our "Cape" in the Seacoast NH area. We have had different style and era houses, but this is easy to maintain. The kids are grown and so we do not need a big house anymore. We are able to have time to enjoy our yard and gardens. The cape style does that. Thanks for sharing other cape styles as well.
