What happened to Corian? I have long had it and it is easy to maintain, if it gets scratched a sander buffer will make it shine again in no time. . . If you burn or put a hole in it, a piece an be put into it and it is repaired? ?? Inexpensive compared to everything else, and it is more forgiving if you drop glass, or dishes on it. . . A bit softer. . Quieter? They can even run the grain like rock through it so it is pretty too.

I'm replacing my master bath countertop, sink and adjoining dressing table and have been pricing granite, quartz, corian, etc. Loved Cambria until I found there were two levels of pricing. As if it wasn't pricey to begin with. Granite didn't interest me due to upkeep and I couldn't find a pattern that I fell in love with so the next thing I know I'm back with my tried and true, Corian. I've had it in my kitchen and two bathrooms for more than 20 years and found it to be quite the workhorse. The price is good, patterns and colors are more extensive than when I purchased it before so I think I'll be buying it again. I may not be on the cutting edge with my peers but I'm not out to impress anyone and when its done I doubt anyone will be any the wiser as to exactly what it is. I feel in a good design the look will flow seamlessly and no-one will even question what the chosen finishes are.

All the talk of counter top material in the bathroom, but no one addresses the thickness-what is the consensus on what the thickness should be 2cm or 3cm ?
