Question 1: I ran into a butterfly lover/activist at a garden show last November here in New Orleans. She urged me to cut my milkweed back, explained I was interrupting migration by offering a place for reproduction. ??? I had not heard this before and did not heed her advice. I cut them back late December. They are starting to leaf again now - third season with same plants.

Question 2: Interestingly my milkweed plants have never gone to seed. Is it just too warm here?
