Helpful and thoughtful ideas! When staying at my MIL's house, her guest room didn't have a mirror nor a clock. Plus, every flat surface had something on it leaving me no space for my items. I had to place my luggage on the floor, and ants got into it. :( When setting up my guest bedroom, the first items I installed were a full-length mirror, and a lighted clock radio. I also made my small master bedroom with bath my guest room so that guests have a private bath.

A basket with extra toothbrushes and other toiletries in the guest bath (or shared bath) is always helpful. Fill with any items that may be forgotten in packing and needed. Guests are more comfortable when they don't have to ask for items they need.

Have a little fun with framed signs; one. " ring for Champagne" and another with password for the WiFI.
