I grow nasturtiums in my window boxes and they are beautiful znd colorful as they drape over the sides. Love them!

It is good to see nasturtiums making a come back. Easily grown from seed (yes, you have to soak them and/or "scratch" them to get the coating off and to get them to sprout faster) they are a wonderful plant that hangs over edges of planters. You have to be careful though, because by fall, it can crowd out other plants if it is in the middle of a container and not draping over. 8 to 12 inch spacing is a must! There are several red varieties (Troika red, Indian Cress, etc.) that I like to use in larger pots where they are the "spiller" of the pot flower combinations I have also trained some to climb 1 foot fencing. And they do readily self seed, coming up in the same spot in the garden or pot each year.
