These are the palms I found on the web. I wonder if they would be appropriate to be planted in a two feet wide bed with different succulent plants and cacti. I would love to have some not very tall and narrow palms that can add visual attraction and provide some shade. I live in California. Appreciate feedback and suggestions. Thanks.

We live in zone 7 at 2500 ft with snow and have several Mediterranean Fan palms. They are really tough and drought tolerant. However I would not recommend them for courtyards or small spaces. They are multi-trunked and can get very wide. The fronds bend down to the ground as they dry and age, so they require a lot of pruning to keep tidy. Plus they have very sharp spines on the stems.
