A thank you to Jane Hahn to set us viewers back on the right path to consider each room as a separate artist's creation. I went back and reviewed everything to appreciate the talents represented. However, I still feel some designers ,in general, mix elements that seem to be fighting with each other. Ie. The ornamental screen behind the sofa. I imagine that is the nature of creativity. Additionally, I read Traditional Home, House Beautiful, AD and love Houzz to gather ideas for my own home; and in this Kipps Bay House I sadly came away with nothing. I found the only pleasantly appealing room was the Kincaid bedroom. (Obviously my tastes lie purely in the " traditional" aspects of decorating.). For my taste, please get rid of that grass paper. It just seems so dated. I am presently tryig to redecorate a staircase but would never dream of flooding it with so many pieces of art. Another thought for designers.... I agree with so many previous viewers, never, ever put a television outdoors. In my opinion, that totally defeats the purpose of the space. ( The one here was nicely done.) The sights and sounds of nature are enough to create an atmosphere for sharing food and conversation with family and friends or for private meditation or reading. Enough of my 2 cents!

I like the slim furniture that doesn't take a lot of floor space and serves to exhibit the lovely porcelain collection

Thanks for the feature! We are also shown in the Bennett Leifer room, and on Tilton Fenwick's gallery wall.
