I'm so sorry you're having these problems. I'm not in such a bad situation myself, but I can see how this can happen. I'm currently remodeling and repairing a house that needed about $50,000 worth of structural repair. Although my contractor is a good builder and I'm pleased with the quality of his work, I never know when he's going to show up and I worry that he's taken on too many other projects. I wish more contractors would put customer service higher on their list of priorities; doing so would surely benefit them with referrals and recommendations. Sometimes all it takes is a return call or text from the contractor to make the client feel like their project is important and not lost in the shuffle.

This is very true. Amazing what a quick phone call can do to help ease a client's pain.
