I love the idea of the espalier. I've never seen them trained high.

I do think this is one of those homes where a modern addition doesn't work though. It should at least be the color of the stucco, or better yet, stucco itself. From afar, it looks like a shed stuck to the house.

Neat idea but it looks really messy...perhaps appealing to some, probably not the neighbors though. The espaliered crabapples defining the courtyard is a cool idea. My biggest concern though would be what happened to the parking?
