I love the idea of this design retrospective. I also second Aleanor's idea of inviting other countries' Houzz to contribute to the next articles, since most of these trends originated in Europe anyways: they surely would have plenty to offer. For me, the Wiener Werkstätte furniture is still classy and beautiful, and the Gaudi mosaïcs have an inherent vitality that's hard to beat. Have loved Fortuny lights for a long time. Used to want all Stickley furniture but now I'm past it even though I have a couple of pieces that I won't get rid of. What can I say about Adirondack chairs except love the great design? The copper stove is stunning. Love it. Don't forget about Heywood Wakefield furniture. My aunt had a houseful of it and had all the upholstered pieces done in bright fabrics. Couldn't believe how beautiful that made all of it.
