westegg10 I don't think it's always a matter of "good taste" vs "bad taste". You just have to have a taste for it... I'm not fond of anything in this except for the sputnik chandelier, but I am a diehard fan of midcentury style. Formica, linoleum, steel cabinets, knotty pine, hudee rings, Cinderella tubs, matching pastel appliances, bathrooms with matching toilet paper, shag carpeting, embossed carpet, soft lighting, acoustic ceilings, wood paneling... yummy, yummy, yummy! Watching old Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents is like I've died and gone to heaven. :)

I think people must have a distaste for things that were in style when they were young... no matter how old I get, I don't think anything is going to make me like the '90s-00s. I've even warmed to the '80s... but granite countertops, red walls, big furniture, Venetian plaster, McMansions, terracotta and travertine, anything remotely resembling that Tuscan kitchen look... it's like looking into the pit of Hell. Too close to when I grew up, so it will always look dated to me! Which is why every decade we have a new cycle of "what's old is new again" in design...

Did not know that my beloved arched lamp I scored some years ago is going back to the 60ies! Like me.... :) It is not an original, but I just love it!
