I just had my bathroom done and didn't think to tile the walls -- is it too late? Can tile be laid over finished sheetrock?

Villa Lagoon Tile

No, sheetrock's not a strong enough surface. The weight of the tile can separate the outer layer. Needs to be on something solid like Hardie board.

Sheetrock is fine as long as you're not planning on getting the tile wet.
