My three, 7-year old nieces (yes, triplets no less) love to garden. We dug up the whole front bed, saved all the bulbs we could from the previous years, and added more tulips and ranunculus. It was a messy job with lots of mud and mulch all over. But getting dirty seems to be part of the fun. Can't wait for spring so they can see what their hard work brings forth.

Last fall I outwitted the squirrels by placing river rocks and paving stones over the bulb site, just remove after thaw and first green sprouts, they don't like to eat once that happens❤️
