My new shoe closet in my mod room....complete with an exhaust fan with a motion detector. When the door opens, the fan runs for 20 minutes and then switches to a constant low level exhaust.

All the solutions mentioned in this article are pretty smelly... keeping shoes in the bedroom does not sound like a good idea..
