A local nature area in southern NJ, Palmyra Cove, has a lovely strip of autumn sages lining the long drive in. It is a haven for bees, butterflies and hummingbirds but the deer leave it alone. The garden was planted and is maintained by volunteers.

Wondering if this would fare well in Colorado Springs? Looking for something to plant on north side of house where it would get part sun and part shade (from tree). Also have an Our temps do get below 0 on occasion, but usually only a day or two; generally temps above 10 degrees.

I have not pruned to one foot not trimmed it since planting over a year ago and is still flowering without fail. What happens if we just leave it alone without pruning?
