This plant won't be available everywhere, as some states quarantine it for sweet potato weevil. For example, it is widely available in South Texas, but you would be hard pressed to find it in the northern part of the state because of the quarantine.

I know this is a stupid question, but are there SEEDS for this plant? I can't find them at all in Italy, and have carted back numerous organic sweet potatoes from the U.S. to no avail to try and get some... (They don't know what you're talking about in Italy when you ask for a sweet potato!) :-)

Just go to your local health food store and buy ORGANIC sweet potatos, place it in water (like you do an avocado with tooth picks) and set it in the sun. It'll grow roots and place it in the ground or pot, easy!
