Would this plant survive the mediterrenean climate such as the one in Rome

Ersida - yes - with summer water if you don't get rain now - it thrives in Mediterranean climates in California without being invasive. Prefers sun and sandier soil.

Liz, sorry I just saw your comment. I live in Utah and I have this in full sun. It has bounced back nicely and gave a great show this fall. I could probably divide it this spring and have 2-4 viable plants. I love this plant and am excited to spread it throughout my landscape.
