I go with LED lights anytime not only they last longer, expend less electricity, and lower the risk of your tree setting on fire, they now come in cool colors.

I have a ton of the regular lights as we decorate the entire outiside of our house. I was out tonight at WM and checked out the prices of the new LED's. Whew, it would cost me a small fortune to replace all the lights on my house. Sad thing is when mine start dying, if I can't find them and have no choice but LED, I can't mix the 2 because it looks ridiculous. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
