We just completed our kitchen renovation and couldn’t be happier. We love the aesthetics- the white shaker cabinets, the natural finish wood floors, the gray limestone subway tile backsplash and the dragonfly motif arts and crafts pendants. But we really appreciate the increased functionality - the easier to access corner cabinet pantry, the peninsula that replaces the never-used desk, the coffee nook, the bookshelves with outlets to accommodate our weather station display and Sonos speaker, our step stool cabinet, and my reading nook.

Love my 70/30 sink. One side is deeper than normal and the other side is not as deep as a normal sink. The deep side is great for large pots and baking sheets. The smaller side is great for rinsing things and for peeling vegetables. I plan to remodel my kitchen next year and will install a new 70/30 sink.

We have a 120-year-old house with the traditional dining room, walk-through butler's pantry and small kitchen. My husband wanted to be able to eat in the kitchen, which either required knocking out a wall (not feasible in many ways) or moving the refrigerator to the butler's pantry where the icebox used to sit 100 years ago. (We know this because there is a concrete square there instead of wood flooring.) However, modern refrigerators are not sized for such a space. I did lots of research and found a Summit Refrigerator that is slim and tall so it's has decent storage and it fits perfectly in the space. A table took it's place in the kitchen and now grabbing a bite and cleaning up is easier and more relaxing. Which makes up for the fact that this also started a cosmetic redo (patching plaster wall cracks, etc.) of the two areas which is still underway and is not relaxing at the moment!
